History in the Churchyard
Did you know that there was a Commonwealth War Grave in the Churchyard?
I am very grateful to Mr Byron Evans (Elgar Crescent) for the following information about a young man buried in our churchyard:
Name: Private AW Harrison
Regiment: 5th Battn Grenadier Guards
Service No: 24411
Date of Death: 30th April 1916
Age: 19
Additional Information: Son of WH and Annie Harrison of Church Lodge, St Mellons
