THE PARISH WEBSITE SCHEME:
1. Setting up an account
To start with the scheme, you should have had an email that looks a little like this:
If you haven’t had one of these, then you need to get in touch with us - webmaster@churchinwales.org.uk and request one.
Click on the link in the email, and you’ll be taken to a box to set your password like this:
The username should be the parish or benefice code for your website. This is always in the format a000, where a is the first letter of the diocese and is followed by three numbers. You can check this by visiting http://www.churchinwales.org.uk/rb/par.php and searching for your parish or benefice.
Once you’ve entered a password (although we can reset this for you, it’s best to make a note of it), you’ll see a screen like this:
That’s it – your account is now set up. You can always return to your website with your username and password at:
http://www.churchinwales.org.uk/parishholding/web-master.
If you want to continue to create your website now, click on the "here" link in the last line in the screenshot. Click on 2. Filling out the form in the menu on on the top left-hand side of this page to carry on with this guide.
